Copyright & DMCA Policy

Last updated: May 14, 2026

gravity respects intellectual property rights and expects its users to do the same. This page explains our copyright policy and how to submit a notice of copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

1. Posting content you own

You may only post photos, descriptions, and other material that you own or have permission to share. Do not upload content that belongs to someone else without their consent.

2. Submitting a DMCA takedown notice

If you believe that content on gravity infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated contact below. To be valid under the DMCA, your notice must include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full legal name is fine).
  • A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  • A description of the material on gravity that you believe is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (such as a direct link to the post).
  • Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

3. Where to send notices

Send DMCA notices to brendanthomaslam@gmail.com. We try to act on valid notices within 24 hours.

4. Counter-notices

If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or that you have the right to post it, you may send a counter-notice. Include:

  • Your signature, name, address, phone number, and email address.
  • Identification of the content that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in the district where you live (or, if outside the United States, any district where gravity may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice.

Send counter-notices to the same email address listed above.

5. Repeat infringers

We will terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe the copyrights of others.

6. Misuse

Submitting a false or misleading DMCA notice can expose you to legal liability. Only file a notice if you genuinely believe the material infringes your rights.
